The cache folder name can be changed easily within the plugin code. Look for $abCacheFolderName = "automaticbacklinks_cache"; near the beginning of the plugin code. Simply change automaticbacklinks_cache to whatever you like. That said, we think the risk is minimal if left to default.

Actually…one way around this then is to edit the PHP code and change the cache folder to something random…can users do this without upsetting the rest of the script?

In regards to the footprint issue…

The script used actually generates a cache folder – won’t SE’s simply test for this folder to know that you’re using this service and penalize your site?

There is no footprint to worry about since the only output from our modules is plain HTML anchor tags.

The “Join Now Free” was misleading being on the new page for The Automatic Backlinks Blog. I thought I had to join to be able to use the blog etc.
