Drupal programmers, I think that it is important to understand that we are talking about 1 to 1 reciprocal links. So that site A links to site B and site B links to site A. You need to make it at least a triangular exchange for it to have a good effect.

I cant accepted this points “Reciprocal links are largely ignored by Google”. because on of my competitor is mostly do like this and he is websites got a good SERP position in Google.. but here your are explained about link exchange is not worth. when i read this article now I’m getting so much confusion really. after analyzed and i will come with good solution..

I’ve been doing exchange links manually before so it’s really great info for me thanks. My site has PR4 now and I’m looking forward for PR5.

So many new avenues for gaining backlinks have become popular recently including blog commenting, social bookmarking and others. I think a lot of people are also scared to be penalized for link exchanging because they are unsure how the mysterious Google formula works.

Link exchanges are definately dying and social media is the new playground for gathering links – it’s a lot more efficient than e-mailing webmasters and the results benefit a website in quality links, targeted traffic and brand building.

Complimenting that with automatic backlinks should create a powerful link portfolio
